How We Research and Write

The standards behind every article on Freeze-Dried-Fruit.com — what we cover, how we evaluate, and what we choose not to claim.

What this site is

Freeze-Dried-Fruit.com is an independent field guide to the freeze-dried fruit category. We cover quality, processing, sourcing, packaging, pricing, applications, and the parts of the category that usually go unwritten. Articles are written for consumers, brand founders, ingredient buyers, suppliers, and operators — readers who want a precise picture of how this category actually works.

What we cover

We write about fruit chemistry, freeze-drying process design, residual moisture and water activity, packaging barrier behavior, supplier evaluation, landed cost, ingredient labels, and consumer use cases. We avoid health and medical claims. We do not write product reviews of named brands.

How articles are researched

Each article draws on a combination of three sources: published industry research, supplier and operator conversations, and direct observation of the product category — including labels, packaging, finished samples, and trade reports. When a claim depends on a specific number, we either cite the source or note the typical range observed in the category.

Technical articles are reviewed against the freeze-drying literature and against the practical experience of operators who work with the equipment and the fruit. Where the literature and operator practice disagree, we note both.

What we will not do

  • We do not accept paid placements or sponsored articles.
  • We do not run affiliate links in editorial content.
  • We do not write articles to promote a specific brand, supplier, or product.
  • We do not make health, nutrition, or shelf-life claims that would require formal validation we have not performed.
  • We do not present marketing language ("premium," "game-changer," "the best") as a quality standard.

Disclosures

Freeze-Dried-Fruit.com is created by a team building in the fruit snack space. We may occasionally reference our own product development experience, but the site is built as a broader educational and industry resource — not as a brand channel. Suppliers, equipment owners, and operators who submit information through the Industry Exchange are not granted editorial coverage in exchange.

Corrections policy

If you spot a factual error, an outdated claim, or a missing nuance, please tell us. Corrections are made promptly and we mark the article as updated when the change is material.

Update cadence

Articles in technical, supplier, and quality categories are reviewed periodically as the category evolves — particularly around packaging standards, certifications, and pricing dynamics. Consumer-facing articles are updated when reader feedback or new evidence justifies it. The News Wire is auto-updated several times per day from public RSS sources.
